The Department of Automotive Engineering currently has 20 teachers including 2 doctoral candidate supervisors, 4 professors, 6 associate professors and 10 lecturers. As the major department of the School’s automotive engineering discipline, the Department of Automotive Engineering offers class-B automotive engineering doctoral program, class-B automotive engineering master program and automotive engineering undergraduate program.
The School’s “Key Laboratory for Automotive Industry Chassis Parts Strength and Reliability Evaluation”, “Sino-Us Joint Research Center for Automotive Reliability” and “Automotive Engineering Laboratory” are the three scientific research and teaching experiment platforms of the Department.
Over the past several years, the Department has completed and undertaken 9 national-level projects including national “863” key project, “national natural science fund”, “doctoral program fund of Ministry of Education” and “China doctoral program fund”. The Department has also completed and undertaken 17 key and major research and development projects at provincial/ministry levels, and over 40 scientific and technological development projects horizontally commissioned by key industry players. The Department has won 2 third prizes of the Science & Technology Progress Award at provincial/ministry levels and made significant contributions to technological development of the industry.
