Experiment Center for Mechanical Engineering
Experiment Center for Mechanical Engineering currently has 9 experiment teachers who hold different types of technical professional titles including senior engineer, lecturer, engineer and experiment specialist.
The Experiment Center now has several laboratories including mechanical manufacturing laboratory, precision manufacturing laboratory, CNC technology laboratory, robot laboratory, hydraulic and pneumatic control laboratory, tolerance detection laboratory, measurement and control technology laboratory, sensor technology laboratory and rapid prototyping laboratory, electromechanical control innovation base, key laboratory for mechanical industry precising grinding technology, joint laboratory of University of Huddersfield for precision processing technology and joint laboratory for collaborative innovation technology. The Center offers the School’s specialty courses (for experimental teaching) such as “tolerance detection and technology measurement”, “mechanical manufacturing technology”, “hydraulic and pneumatic technology”, “electric control technology”, “mechanical engineering test and control foundations”, “PLC principles and application” and “CNC technology” , and comprehensive experiment courses such as “comprehensive experiment of mechanical innovation ”, “comprehensive experiment of mechanical manufacturing technology”, “comprehensive experiment of mechanotronics” and “comprehensive experiment of CNC technology”. The Department offers some mechanical specialty courses (for experimental teaching) for Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and Sino-British College which are the School’s partners for international exchange teaching, and conducts experimental teaching for Hochschule Furtwangen University (Germany) which signed an exchange students agreement with our School.
In 2012, the Experiment Center was designated by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission as Shanghai experimental teaching demonstration center for mechanical engineering. The Center offers courses (for experimental teaching) for undergraduate and postgraduate students with a focus on innovation and comprehensive teaching. At the same time, the Center offers services for enterprises and undertakes scientific research projects by leveraging its talent and instruments based strengths. Scientific research and technical services involve such fields as environmental protection, automotive, semiconductor manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing and measurement.
