The accreditation is valid for 5 years starting on March 27, 2015 and ending on September 30, 2020.

As the most prestigious higher education degree program accrediting agency in the field of natural engineering in Germany, ASIIN is an accreditation body focusing on engineering, information science, natural science and mathematics. Founded in 1999, ASIIN is a non-profit agency composed of approximately 1400 accreditation experts and 190 members who are professors from higher education institutions or specialists from the industrial circle. ASIIN has accredited over 2400 programs inside and outside Germany.

The School made a plan for accreditation in November 2011 and submitted application to ASIIN in April 2013. The first draft was submitted in October 2014. In January 2015, ASIIN conducted on-the-spot inspection. In February 2015, the School submitted rectification report and received a certificate (valid for 1 year) from ASIIN in June 2015. In January 2016, the School submitted another rectification report and recently received a certificate which is valid for 5 years. After more than four years of hard work, the School finally earned the accreditation.

Earning ASIIN accreditation is an achievement of great significance. For students, their credits, degree and engineer professional qualifications will be recognized around the world. For the School, it will be motivated to build an ever-improving mechanism for its teaching activities, and thereby improving teaching continuously, conducting standardized management of teaching process, and producing “engineering, innovation, and internationalization integrated” type of professionals who meet the country’s industrial development demands and who are able to engage in cross-cultural communication. For the University, it means that China’s engineering education programs are recognized by the international world, especially the international prestigious agency. The University will adhere to the principle of continuous improvement and make more efforts to improve quality of engineering education and promote the construction of excellent undergraduate degree program.
